|PCPS “Rising Star” Teachers Announced for 2020-21|
Delta Kappa Gamma has announced this year’s list of “Rising Star” teachers from Polk County Public Schools.
DKG is an international society that promotes women educators. Every year, the local Lambda chapter names a list of Rising Stars, who are new “exemplary and promising” teachers (male or female) from PCPS schools, nominated by their principals.
The honorees are recognized during a ceremony and each awarded a $50 prize. Click here to see this year’s virtual ceremony.
Without further ado, congratulations to our Rising Stars for 2021:

Parents please pay close attention to the following dates to return devices to the school. We must have the devices returned in order to prepare them for the 21-22 school year. We appreciate your cooperation.
6th grade device return = Monday, June 7 8:00 AM-12:00 PM
7th grade device return = Monday, June 7 1:00 PM-4:30 PM
8th grade device return = Tuesday, June 8 8:00 AM-12:00 PM
If you are unable to return the device on your assigned date, we will accept devices on the following date= Thursday, June 10 8:00 AM-12:00 PM
NOTE: Please be patient during device drop off. We must power on the device and make sure all equipment is in working order. Please bring all power cords with you as well. We will then have you sign off to acknowledge that we received the device and everything was returned and in working condition.
If you have children that are in different grade levels, please pick one of the dates and times to return multiple devices. There is no need to come at separate times.
Current 6th and 7th graders, that do not return a device, will be not get a schedule for the 21-22 school year. 8th graders moving on to high school, that do not return a device, will have an obligation placed on their record and will not be able to graduate high school until that obligation is fulfilled.
